La Yerbabuena

Finca La Yerbabuena is a small one-hectare farm in the remote hills. Six women are hired each year by the owner María to harvest the ripe cherries each year. After the harvest, they continue to take good care of the farm by pruning, fertilising, and mulching the soils.

María’s goal is to take care of the community, both in the social and environmental sense. Thus, she donates part of the farm’s proceeds to close by initiatives which share those same goals with her.
